The Croft Hardware Acorn Sash Stop with Chain works by when the Acorn is screwed into its plate it will act as a stop, therefore allowing the sashes to be secured open in the ventilated position. The sash screw passes through the centre rail where the sashes meet, therefore locking them as no vertical movement can then be achieved. The stop prevents the sash from being opened beyond the stop, helping to increase home security by making the window safer from the inside and improving ventilation.
